Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Assists in the day -to-day operations of college laboratory.
· Setting up labs with the instructions given by lecturers in advance. Lab assistant should read the experimental procedure before preparing the labs.
· Preparing chemical solutions, reagents during the lab procedures and ensure the lab is stocked with necessary supplies.
· Securing the lab by cleaning up any spills, washing the apparatus and keep reagents and equipment in designated place after practical sessions end.
· Works closely with students during lab sessions and guide them through experiments, answer questions students have concerning the process.
· Undertake basic administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, running errands, filing documents, and updating databases.

INSTITUT SINARAN is owned by the Kota Kinabalu Hakka Association (Community-based Association serving the local community with the provision of Private Secondary School ad Tertiary Education where infrastructure are funded through individual donors, Alumni contributions and state ministries allocations. Established in 1987, Institut Sinaran was first coined as Sabah Tshung Tsin Pre-University Centre as a means of providing affordable, internationally recognized Pre-U qualifications locally. It was then upgraded to an institute on July 14, 2002. We are presently the biggest Cambridge GCE A-Level Centre in East Malaysia. In 2006, we started our own Diploma in Commerce, fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), with credit transfer to many universities locally and abroad allowing direct entry into second year of business related degree programmes. 2008 was another milestone as we were approved as the first South Australian Matriculation (SAM) centre in East Malaysia. The combination of school based assessments for assignments and the external exams, provided a more holistic approach to assess students' abilities and to prepare them well for rigorous studies in university. Our exceptional image and reputation as a provider of quality and holistic education is further enhanced by our commitment towards the growth and development of our students through the programmes and institute's activities.
