Description
We’re looking for someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to create great food and new culinary experiences. If you believe in delighting customers, have high standards and are resourceful, we want to hear from you.
You will:
- Prepare and test recipes, execute research and development from time to time
- Write precise and organised, actionable recipe cards
- Project daily cooking to minimise wastages
- In charge of purchasing and record accordingly
- Manage food cost religiously
- Build, train and guide our kitchen team
- Responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of food stations
- Ensure food is prepared and assembled by required time each morning and evening
- Ensure that ingredients are prepared in accordance with SOP
- Collaborate with the executive chef to execute recipes in the kitchen.
- Help maintain the company's food hygiene and safety guidelines.
- Encourage the team to always strive for higher standards
We’re looking for someone with:
- >5+ years of experience in great restaurants or hotels.
- Junior Sous Chefs with relevant experience are welcomed to apply
- Experience in maintaining rigorous high quality and safety standards
- Proven experience in inventory and food cost control
- Passionate with various styles and techniques necessary to develop and execute menus
- Hungry to expand knowledge base and skill set
- Expert in using local ingredients and cooking with the seasons
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Dedicated team player with proven ability to lead and educate others
