Requirements
FULL-TIME employment/PART-TIME FREELANCER (long term)
CH-EN Translation English Proofreading Editor (work from home)
- Excellent English proficiency (near native level) with sharp eyes to identify grammatical & punctuation errors and strong
- writing/editing/proofreading skills
- Average Mandarin proficiency and above, able to understand and identify mistranslation, omissions, and the likes.
- Have formal or informal experience in English editing,
- Responsible, detail oriented, fast learner and team player
- Good in communication, able to give and accept constructive criticism.
- able to commit for at least 6 months-2years
- Bachelor in Journalism, Linguistic or in related field is a plus
- Responsible and discipline time management

Estimated time commitment:
- Part-time freelancer: 20-24hr/week, depending on your quality & efficiency
- Full-time freelancer/employee: 40-48hrs/week, depending on your quality & efficiency
Responsibilities
- The main task of our Junior Editors is to read through the translated content and cross check the quality of translation from Mandarin to English by
- identifying mistranslation, illogical translation, missing sentences or irrelevant elaborations. While proofread and edit the translated English content, including but not limited to correcting the grammar, punctuations and slangs used,
- sentence rephrasing, to maintain a good quality and consistency of the overall flow in order to ensure the quality of the translation is original,
- faithful to the original Chinese, accurate, coherent, natural, and smooth in the English Narrative as required standard.
- You must edit, double check and submit your work within a specific deadline. We pay strict attention when it comes to deadlines and work quality so we emphasize a lot on responsibilities.
